Every new shopping season (F/W and S/S), I clean out my closet and then write a list of all the things that I'll need to fill in the holes of my wardrobe. Everyone always needs a few new pairs of undies and white shirts, but I also like to grab some new trend pieces, tights, and some jewelry to make all my old stuff look new again. One F/W season, my then-boyfriend/now-husband found my list. He still teases me about it to this day.
Yes, I probably deserved it. One of my list items was 'a long cardigan perfect for layering'. The one he really got a kick out of was, 'Flats! Flats! Flats!'. Sigh. In fairness to me, I never planned on anyone else reading my lame shopping list. 
Sadly, my 'Flats! Flats! Flats!' budget was more Target than J Crew, but if I did have an endless bank account to spend on cute, comfy shoes, I would have bought Miu Miu's sequined flats. 
The peep-toe platform version and stiletto pump are gorgeous and my inner drag queen wants them hard, but the practical princess inside me is vying for the flats.
