My daily readers* will notice that I've been a bit sporadic with posting lately. I have a good excuse though, I've taken on a new freelance client: Gozamos. Its an online magazine that strives to be the definitive guide for the young, urban, culturally savvy Latino. I've been editing the Lifestyle section and, just this past week, taken on the Managing Editor role. One of the most fun things I've done with the Lifestyle Editor role is work with Roberto Del Rio, the staff fashion writer. A few weekends back, we did a full day of marathon photo shoots and I wanted to share with you guys the first of them that ran.
The concept was '90s Hip Hop and everything was Roberto's idea. From the bright pink lipstick to the crazy neon shorts (those were vintage Oscar de la Renta, you guys!) to the side braid, everything was his idea. Admittedly, I was very scared as he explained all the separate elements to me but it really came together!** The models were a blast and the pictures are so fun! Very cover-of-'Seventeen'-circa-1994, right? Here's the link to the story with more pictures- enjoy!
*also know as "my husband"- hi, baby!
**Try saying "neon printed high-waisted culottes" without cringing- I dare you.
