Victorian Vampire Hunters are the New Black

In a shocking turn of events, my favorite fall winter collection this year is a men's line!

Prada's f/w has already been touted as the best show of the of the season. The clothes are gorgeous: razor sharp tailoring and sumptuous patterns. It's a fabulous mash up of steampunk and Russian aristocracy. Everything looks like something a vampire hunter with a trust fund would wear.

If I had a trust fund (vampire hunter, or not), I would buy every single piece in this collection and have it tailored to fit me perfectly.

I would have loved to see some of the circular pattern piece mixed with the pinstripes (suggestion: Gary's vest under Willem's coat). 

I'm obsessed with that Greek warrior profile brooch/pen. I'll be eBay-ing "Greek cameos" later today.

The white vest might be my favorite piece in the whole collection.

Also: the stark white lapels against the dark jackets are killer.

That double breasted jacket is perfection. Look at the curve at the waist! The crease on the sleeve!
